The Basics

ADDRESS: 3510 S. 3rd Street, Laramie, WY

LOCATION: Just south of I-80 on Highway 287/S. 3rd Street

LAST VISIT: 2024

The fairgrounds have sites available year round when the fairgrounds are not hosting an event.

It was very easy to find and easy to navigate.

We did have some issues with the electric service, but we moved to another site and everything worked.

There are signs that tell you that the short, grassy area behind the campers is not to be used for livestock. However, I would advise against walking in that area, unless you watch your step very, very carefully. It appears that livestock cannot read signs.

Our Opinion

This was a very convenient overnight stop, and we would definitely stay there again.

Things to See and Do

Snowy Range Scenic Byway (Highway 130)
The Snowy Range Scenic Byway is west of Laramie, and runs from Centennial on the east to Saratoga on the west.
This is a beautiful drive, and we highly recommend it!

Curt Gowdy State Park is 24 miles southeast of Laramie.
