LOVE'S RV STOP - SALINA, UTAH

The Basics

LOCATION: North of I-70 at the Salina Exit

Some Love's truck stops have a few rv sites at the truck stop, but this one is a complete campground across the road from the truck stop.

It was easy to find and easy to navigate, and our site had plenty of room for the truck, fifth wheel, and extra vehicle. Everything was nicely maintained and the utiliies worked well.

The kiosk at the campground entrance was not working, so we went to the website and booked a site using one of our phones. We then proceeded to our campsite and found out that the power wasn't turned on. We learned that after you make the reservation, you need to check your email, and click a "check in" button on the email before the power will come on.

We've camped at several contactless campgrounds before and loved the streamlined experience, but the extra step to "check in" seems a little extraneous. They could probably avoid a lot of customer service calls if they put a sign on the pedestal that explained the check in process.

There was another aspect of the campground that was a little different... They didn't have any dumpsters, just trash cans that had lids with small holes in them! I think maybe Love's needs a little more experience with how campers travel vs. how truck drivers travel. People were putting their bags of garbage on the ground next to the trash cans.

Our Opinion

This was a very convenient overnight stop, and we would definitely stay there again.
