Ogallala / Tri Trails KOA
(Formerly Country View Campground)
The Basics
ADDRESS: 120 Road East 80
LOCATION: The campground is located a couple of blocks south of I-80
LAST VISIT: 2021
We've stayed at this campground multiple times, but our stays have been when it was an independent campground called Country View Campground.
The campground has nice, long pull through sites with plenty of room between the campers.
The utilities worked as expected.
The pool was clean and refreshing on a scorching Nebraska afternoon.
Our Opinion
Our stays there were pleasant, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Things to See and Do
Lake McConaughy
We drove partway around the lake, stopped at a scenic overlook near the dam, and stopped by a couple of beaches and camping areas. The lake is huge! (At least by Nebraska standards...)
Spruce Street Visitor Center
The Visitor Center is housed in an old Standard Oil station that was built in 1922, and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. We enjoyed stopping by to check out the building. It is located at 220 North Spruce Street in Ogallala.
Ogallala Water Tower
Nope. Not kidding.
The water tower is painted to look like a UFO, and the lights at night match the design. We love it! It's just a few blocks north and west of the campground.
