Camping
When it comes to a campground, we all have our preferences. The following list contains some of the things we consider when we are choosing a campground.
If you are looking for information about playgrounds or shower facilities, we are not very helpful!
Here are some of the things we do look for:
BIG RIG FRIENDLY
Do we have a big rig? Not particularly, but we know if the campground is "Big Rig Friendly," we won't have any problems getting around! Also, that usually means that our awning won't touch our neighbor's slides.
EASY TO FIND
Are there clear directions and visible signs? We are happy if locating the campground is a stress-free experience.
WORKING UTILITIES
Full hookups are nice, but what we care most about is that the utilities advertised are easy to connect to and function consistently.
STRONG WIFI
It may be nice to escape the "real world," but we do like to research activities in the area and upload photos occasionally.
LAUNDRY FACILITIES
We tend to pack light and do laundry frequently. Clean laundry facilities are great, especially if we can find an open washer/dryer when we need one.
REASONABLE RATES
We aren't looking for high-end ammenities, and we don't want to pay for them. We're too busy exploring to hang out at the campground!
SOME NOISE IS OK
If we're spending most of our time out exploring instead of at the campground, we don't mind a little noise... we aren't bothered by close proximity to a highway or railroad tracks.
