DOES IT REQUIRE 4WD/HIGH CLEARANCE: Yes (though that is apparently debatable)

Last Dollar Road runs from Colorado 62, between Placerville and Ridgway, to Telluride. The center section of the road is pretty rough. We would not want to tackle it in a standard passenger car, but we saw several people who did. The road winds through several types of scenery, from dense aspen forest and ranches to a spectacular overlook where you could see for miles.
